Evening Walks {Lifestyle}

I've said it many times but I love going out for walks on a summer afternoon. Even though we arn't having the greatest weather it seems to be the nicest around 5-6 in the afternoon. We like to find different places go to keep it fun for the boys. Yesterday we went to the local park but instead of going where we could normally we went around the path at the back of the house tracks. Its much easier with the pushchair, than going around the actual track like we usually do when we go for the long walk round.

I feel like these holidays have gone way too quickly. I love when the boys have time off school. If I could, I would have them home everyday. This time last year I was so nervous about Cambell starting nursery and Jake going into full time as he was very shy. It's so strange how things change, when the boys were younger we would of never of thought we would worry about Cambell at school as he was the louder more confident one and Jake was shy. Now they have switched and Cambell is quieter when he's around people he doesn't know that well.

He's alot like me, If you've ever met me you'll probably notice I'm quite 'shy/quiet' at first then once I know someone I'm the total opposite, which is just how Cambell is. He did start getting alot more confident as he went though nursery and has his best friends.Starting full time mean's alot of change's though so I am definitely feeling nervous about those first few weeks. The full days, having to stay for dinner and learn that routine. He has a new class room/teachers, luckily it's the class room Jake has been in last year so he knows it well. Having PE and getting changed into his kit. They go into the big playground with the older children too which really upset Jake when he started as the school goes up to year 6 so the older boys are alot bigger, they run around and knock into the younger ones by accident which really scared Jake. So that worry's more with Cambell too.

Wow well I started writing about our little trip out and went off on a totally different subject!
Where do you go on walks?
Is your child starting school this year? nursery or full time? What are your thoughts?

Another little cute Emme outfit. The skirt is still a little big on her but I think this is so cute, it definitely makes her look older. I feel like I want to put her in pink everyday...it really suits her. With the new winter clothes coming out I couldn't help but make a start on her winter wardrobe. She absolutely  loved her frilly socks, sat saying 'wow' for at least 5 minutes after I put them on :).

From next week it's just going to be Emme and I, all day everyday now Cambell is starting full time with Jake. It's going to be so strange having both the boys gone all day, it will definitely be alot quieter! I'm hoping we get some sun this week so we can have some nice days out.

Braids {Outfit}

I've been loving wearing my hair like this recently. Braid at one side, twisted at the other and tied together at the back. It's so easy and super fast to do{needed with 3 children}. I'm in desperate need of my hair doing at the minute, I just haven't got round it yet. Normally I do it myself or my sister does it for me{she use to be a hairdresser}. I think I'l call round one night this week for her to do it.

I'm hoping to call to Ikea this afternoon to get some shelves for the boys room. I've wanted to do the a little reading corner for so long but they never really had room but now I've moved their room around they have plenty of space. I'd love to do one in Emme's room too but I think I'll wait until she has a big bed up so I can see where they would go best as she has a smaller room.

I really like high waisted jeans at the minute. I find them so much more comfortable than low rise ones. I wish I could remember the name of these so I could buy more.

Blazer {Newlook}
Tshirt {Ark}
Bag {eBay}

Emme {Dancing in Apples}

I think this little outfit of Emme's is so cute, although it does make her look more grown up {crys}. Can you believe how big she's getting?! I can't! It doesn't seem two minutes ago I was writing up my pregnancy posts. Oh actually talking of baby things, I'm thinking of getting Emme a new pushchair for the school run's. One a bit lighter so if you have any recommendations let me know.

Since it's the holidays we've been having a few days out and going for walks when we can and this is what Emme wore. Her outfit of apples ha! I bought her this cute little apple skirt from next {didn't realise it was apple at first} but it goes perfectly with her apple shabby headband

I'm going to try doing a few little outfit posts more often. She is just crazy and runs all over!!

Eton Mess {Easy Recipe}

This is the most amazing desert EVER! I can't believe I'd never had it before this week {post}. It was so good I wanted to make it the next day just so Jason and the kiddies could try it... Ok not just so they could try it but shhh. I did really want Jason to try it though. So instead of looking up recipes I just went to the shop and bought what I though was in it. Its not very had its only 4 things, but I did guess on the sauce.

I picked up double cream, I got the Elmlea brand I think it was about 80p. Meringue nests (I got some mini ones too but they aren't needed.) For the sauce I found some mixed berry mousse. Finally to top it off Strawberry's!

It is so simple to make and if you have never made it you need to!
1. Whip some double cream, wish an electric whisk if you have one its much faster than by hand.
2.Add some of the strawberry mousse into the cream.
3.Crumble the meringue into the cream.
4 Add to bowl & pop in the fresh strawberry's!

So easy and cheap. Not going to lie we've had it for desert everyday this week. I do like to add more strawberry's, Emme loved her strawberry's too so I fill most o her bowl with strawberry's for her. If you try it let me know!

Glossybox | August 2014 {3 Year Birthday}

Happy 3rd Birthday Glossybox!
This last 3 years had definitely flow by, I can remember getting exited that Glossybox was about to release their first box!It really doesn't feel like that was three years ago. With a new style of box too, its not a huge difference but if you pop it next to the other boxes you can clearly see the changes.

There's some lovely products in this months box, the main one that made me do a little squeal was the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. So many people rave about this and I've wanted it for so long but I just haven't ordered it. So excited to try that out.

Yves Rocher pink mini polish. I wasn't sure I would like this on as it looked a darker pink than I usually go for on my nails but I gave it a go last night and its a lovely colour. It applies really nicely too.

Figs & Rouge mini hand cream. This is a really nice hand cream and smells lovely. You can definitely smell the Mango and Mandarin. its a good size to keep in your bag too. I've been really getting into hand cream again recently so I'm glad this was included. It soaks in quickly and it doesn't leave that greasy feel.

Kryolan for Glossybox highlighter. I love highlighter! It's one of my favourite makeup items so I'm always happy to try new ones out. I do normally use powder highlighters as they've always worked better for me but I'm going to give this a try today and see how it works. This is full size at £12.95

[Comfort zone] Cleansing milk. This gentle milk cream removes any make up and pollution residues leaving skin softer and refreshed. It is a full size products and retails at £20 from feel unique. This is a lovely product and I'm sure it will be a popular one from this box.

Finally the Lalique L'Amour fragrance. It's a lovely girly floral scent and I will definitely pop this in my bag for when I'm out but I do wish they were bigger perfume.

Overall I think this is a great box filled with things I will use. I know I will get use out of everything included which is what I hope for in a box rather than one amazing item and then the rest not things I would use.
What did you think of your box?

Dining at {The Light Leeds, Event}

On Monday I headed back to Leeds for an amazing night {as always} at The Light. I love meeting up with other blogger's.Night's at The Light with the girls from Carousel are always great. Just like last time for each course we went to a different restaurant in The Light.We met at Cafe Rouge for a little pre drink and nibbles {almonds & olive's}.

Starter's were served at Miller & Cater where we had different plates to choose from with pork, prawn, chicken & nachos. I'm starting to like to try new foods that I haven't had before which I got to do here.I used to just stick to the'safe' option. I'm finally getting a bit more adventurous which is sometimes great to find new foods, sometimes you find things you don't like,Scallops being one of them for me.

Main was at Frankie & Benny's where we were greeted to big platers of food. I really enjoyed the chicken wraps & salad while Jessica tried the burger. The definitely catered to everyone's needs.

One thing you can count on while Jessica and I are together is that we laugh, alot. We always have fun whenever we do anything. I came to the conclusion we should Vlog while together. They would definitely be funny. {Maybe one day}

Finally for desert we headed over to Browns {same as last time}. We expected to get the brownies again as they were such a big hit when we were last here. This time however we had the best desert I've ever had Eton Mess. It was amazing. I can't wait to have it again. I may even try making it myself.

The girls at Carousel are always so lovely to see and have a chat with. Hopefully there will be another dining night to see everyone again, It's always a great night.

{ ME } || Contouring & Highlighting ||

Q1. When did you learn about highlighting & contour? Who inspired you to start?
To be honest I can't remember the exact time learnt about contouring.I definitely learnt more about make up when I started watching youtube in 2008. I loved watching xsparkage.

Q2. Do you like to highlight & contour everyday or just for special occasions?
I highlight/contour everytime I wear makeup. It's just my routine now to do it, I don't think I could do my make up without doing it.

Q3. Do you prefer powder or cream based products?
Right now I prefer powder based products. I just find them easier to work with. I do love the look of cream based products though.

Q4. Favourite contour product? (High end & Drugstore)
I have a few contour products that I like, the one I'm using at the minute is Bourjois chocolate bronzer.I have bought this one a few times. I also like harmony from mac as a contour and the Chanel Soleil tan.

Q5. Favourite highlighting product? (High end & Drugstore)
My favourite highlighter of all time is mac soft & gentle 100% best highlighter I've ever used! Mine ran out a few weeks ago...totally ran out I used every last  bit of it! So at the minute I'm using a kind of 'dupe' for it which is one from the body shop. It's no where near as amazing but it's still good. I will definitely be repurchasing soft and gentle as soon as I can get to a mac store though.

Q6. Do you contour/highlight before or after foundation?
I always do it after doing my foundation. I will let my foundation set while doing my brows and eyes then go back to highlight/contour.

Q7. What are your favourite application & blending tools?
I use my real techniques brushes which I love!

Q8. Give us your Top Tip!
Use a spray to set your make up and take away any 'cakeyness'. I love mac fix+.

If you do this tag please link it below so I can come over & see your favourite products :)

The one with the... { #shhealthysmile event}

On Thursday I was invited to spend the evening watching the first four episodes of FRIENDS. Who could say no to that?! I've seen every episode friends..more than a few times, I probably know each episode word or word. I feel like everyone's like that with Friends though? It just never gets old or boring, and watching the first episodes again this week they were even funnier. Can you believe it's been 10 years since the last episode and 20 YEARS!! since it all started.

We met at the Everyman Cinema in Trinity Leeds and went into a private area for a drink then behind a curtain was an amazing private screening room with the cosiest chairs. I wish every cinema was like this, I would definitely go more often!

Simplyhealth are promoting the idea that 'Laughter is the best medicine' and that the best thing is laughing with other people 'Friends'. Laughter can change your perspective on life, bring you joy and fill it with positivity. Which I totally agree with, everything is better when you are laughing.

We had a good giggle watching the episodes and playing a little game of the best Friends quotes on twitter. It was great watching with other people, especially bloggers, the atmosphere was great with everyone laughing at the amazing Friends punch lines just made the night.

I went along with my sister Jessica from {PeachyNotes}

Big thank you to Joe Bloggers and #shshealthysmile for a fun night

Day out {Getting caught in the rain}

A few days ago we wanted to get out of the house & go for a walk. I feel like the last few weeks we have just has so much rain we haven't really got to do much. Last week we had bad floods- there were cars that you could only see the roof, they were under that much water! Jason broke down on the way to work too, the car had a pool of water on the floor, luckily it started the next day and just needed an oil change- phew.

Anyway we decided to go for a walk around a local water park we had a play in the play area then a walk around the lake. The boys loved seeing the ducks and having a run around. Just as we got back to the play area it started it rain so we had a take shelter under the conker tree for a 10 minutes while it stopped which was one of them things the boys will always remember. We wanted to collect a few conkers but unfortunately all the ones that had fallen weren't ready.

It was a fun little trip though we love going for walks. I can't wait until Jason's days off this week to go somewhere. It's nice to get out of the house for a few hours, the kids can have a run about and its free.
